The Haakaa Foundation is dedicated to making a meaningful difference in three vital areas: providing financial support to families caring for children with special needs, funding students pursuing careers in midwifery and other maternity-related fields including lactation consultancy, and supporting crucial breastfeeding research worldwide.

With over 95,000 children living with special needs in New Zealand alone, and a global shortage of qualified maternity care professionals affecting communities everywhere, the need for support has never been greater. Through our grants and funding programmes, we're helping to bridge these gaps, ensuring families receive the assistance they need, encouraging the next generation of maternity care professionals, and advancing the research that helps mothers and babies thrive.
